Mason's vocabulary has exploded in the last month or so. He's stringing together 2 and 3 word sentences and commands, and because of this he's getting more and more cute and hilarious every day. Just today on our drive to lunch, we had a little tour guide in the back seat: "Oh, blue car! Motorcycle! School bus! Doggie walking! Bye bye doggie! Big trees!" He has us laughing the whole drive there, as he never stopped talking.
Since his 2nd birthday is coming up in just a week and a half (wow!), we've been working teaching him how old he is. He now responds with a happy "Two!" whenever we ask. We're also teaching him his full name.
He's also getting better and better at singing songs. Here's the ABC's
You Are My Sunshine, which I sing to him every evening after bath time.
5 Little Monkeys, one of my favorites that he sings. He loves the "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!" part. This video was too long to email from my phone so cuts off at the end.
If You're Happy and You Know It - lately we've been making this one last forever, adding different body parts (stick out your tongue, pat your head, etc) and animal noises. Keeps him entertained for a really long time!
Reading a book with daddy
We've finally convinced him of how great sunglasses are when it's bright & sunny out. He wears these things all the time now.
He's our little parrot these days - he repeats EVERYTHING that comes out of our mouths. Which means we are watching our language like crazy, ha! But since he tries to say pretty much everything he hears, his vocabulary has grown like crazy. And we're loving it!
