Good Weekend

Mason & I went for a hike with Heidi the other day, as usual he was fast asleep a few minutes in!

On Saturday Mason & I went up to LA to see Jill & Alana.  He was so excited to go, here he is all ready with his Hungry Hippo :)

As usual, he was such a good boy, but of course decided to start fussing just as my food came at lunch.  So...this is how I ate :)

It was a great weekend, and now that it's cooled off in So Cal, he's a much happier little boy, and sleeping great!

Nice Little Saturday

Today Tristan, Mason & I had an exciting afternoon of errands to Home Depot & Target.  Mason really enjoyed Target:

After Target we went to Wahoos for lunch...as is typical, the minute we sat down Mason woke up and was NOT happy that the movement (aka his dad) stopped.  As with most of our other meals, Tristan ended up eating standing up:

One of our purchases at Target was new swaddle blankets - it's been really hot at our house lately, as we don't have air, and the blankets we've been swaddling Mason in were just too warm.  He loves his new blankets - this picture was taken after he'd been asleep for over an hour & a half and I was trying to wake him!

Once I finally got him up, Mason & I went on a nice long run.

And then when we got home, Mason helped me cook dinner.  Daddy was at the Chargers game so it was just us two hanging out for the evening. 

Girl Time

Mason had some more good quality time with the ladies this week.  Susan and little Anabelle came over last night for dinner, and the babies had some great time together.

Today, Mason went over to Auntie Laura's for the day, and got to spend some time with his beautiful cousins Grace & Addison.  They are so cute!

Opa

Opa took Mason for a walk in the Bjorn today and he was so cozy that he didn't even notice when they got home. 

Old Man Hair

Mason was born with a full-ish head of hair.  This is all that's left.

Tummy Time Times 2

Cameron Latsko came to visit us last night, and we got the two on the ground together.  She's a little feisty thing, and 3 weeks younger than little Mason.  We got some face shots too but those will have to come later.

Tristan discovered that Mason LOVES tummy time on the boppy.  He was hamming it up for his BG who was over at the time.

Real Men Wear Pink

Our friends Brett & Amy have twin girls and were looking to get rid of some of their stuff now that they're getting older.  Mason scored this sweet swing that he LOVES.  Real men are comfortable wearing pink :)

We're working on Mason actually liking tummy time.  Haven't been very successful at that yet, but he's getting better!

Apparently a pair of size 6-month pants found their way into Mason's newborn/0-3 month drawer.  I just don't think he's ready for these...

He's turning into quite the cuddle-bug and I LOVE it!  (PS please ignore my bloated, makeup-less face.  I'm still a work in progress post-pregnancy).

When Swaddles Go Wrong

This is what I was presented with when I went in to wake Mason up this morning.  Funniest part was that his binky was still in his mouth and he was wide awake.  I peeked into the blankets and he just looked up at me and smiled. 

PS - the blanket over his head was really loose, this looks worse than it was, don't go calling child services on us :)

Happy Anniversary

Today is me & Tristan's 2-year anniversary.  Last night we had our first night out without Mason - dinner & a movie.  It was really nice to have dinner just the two of us, and somehow we were able to spend an hour-long dinner NOT talking about Mason...honestly!  Oh, and I had a margarita, YUM.

Today was our actual anniversary and we did some really exciting things, such as a Target & Trader Joe's run.  But the highlight of the day was a special appointment Tristan made...to get a tattoo!  He's been working on the design for months, and had a consultation last weekend with a tattoo artist, and decided to take the plunge.  I think it looks GREAT, but it's really going to take some getting used to!
